Terms
Last updated 1 November 2026.
These terms are between you and Dabster Ltd. They cover the website and the phone app. Contact contact@dabster.app, including for complaints.
The service
Dabster is a log for home learning. It is not a school. It is not a local-authority registration. It does not certify that a family has met home-education law. You remain responsible for your own duties.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Add a child only if you are their parent or otherwise allowed to.
Your household
The household owner decides who to invite and is responsible for that choice. Members can see the household's records. If the owner deletes the workspace, every member's entries in it are deleted too.
Your content
You own what you enter. You allow Dabster Ltd to store, process, and show it to your household, only to provide the service. We do not sell the logs, and we do not use them to train AI models.
Keep your own copy
We work to keep your records safe, but we cannot promise they will never be lost. Download a copy from Settings regularly, especially anything you may need to show a local authority.
Using the service
Do not misuse the app, try to open another household's records, upload malware, or upload anything unlawful or that you are not allowed to store.
Free for now
Dabster is free during this household alpha. Features and availability can change. The service can be unavailable.
Ending
You can stop using Dabster at any time. The household owner can delete the workspace in Settings. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we close the service, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email so you can download your records.
Liability
We provide Dabster as available. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. We are not liable for losses we could not reasonably foresee, for business losses, or for home-education decisions you make from what the app shows.
Phone app
If you use the iPhone app, Apple's standard licence for App Store apps also applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies.
Law
The law of England and Wales applies. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
